Privacy Policy

Farm Records provides farm record-keeping software for agricultural businesses. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

Information we collect

  • Account details such as name, email address, organisation name, and role.
  • Operational data you enter, including stock transactions, storage locations, contract allocations, equipment records, paddock harvest totals, spray records, and tasks.
  • Location data from the device when you use the farm map or “use local weather” on a spray record. We use this to show your position on the map and to fill weather fields. We do not track your location in the background.
  • Purchase information needed to unlock a farm subscription, such as a Google Play or App Store purchase token. Payment card details are handled by Google Play or Apple, not by Farm Records.
  • Technical data needed to operate the service, such as device/network information, authentication logs, and crash reports.

How we use information

  • Provide, secure, and improve the Farm Records service.
  • Authenticate users and send account-related emails.
  • Support your organisation's authorised team members.
  • Confirm subscription status with Google Play or the App Store.
  • Diagnose crashes and reliability issues.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Data is shared only with infrastructure providers required to run the service, and only as needed to operate Farm Records. That includes hosting and email delivery, Mapbox for farm map tiles, Google Play or Apple for in-app purchases, and an error-reporting service (Sentry) when crash reporting is enabled.

Storage and security

Data is stored on secured servers. Access is limited to authenticated users within your organisation according to assigned roles. The Android and iPhone apps also keep a local copy of recent farm data and, if you record stock without a signal, unsynced entries on that device until they can be sent to the server.

Retention and deletion

We retain account and operational data while your organisation uses the service. Farm owners can delete their account and all associated data from within the app, or request deletion by email. See ourDelete account & data page for full details.

Subscriptions

Paid access is billed as an auto-renewing monthly subscription through Google Play (Android) or the Apple App Store (iPhone). Price, renewal, and cancellation terms are shown by the store at checkout. Deleting your Farm Records account does not cancel store billing — cancel in Google Play or App Store subscriptions.

App Store purchases are also governed byApple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA).
